Yeah, had to go for the new 2011 model to get all the bells and whistles, plus the new ones are not out yet.
Great to be back on the bike. Stopped into the Meadows drive thru to get a six pack to celebrate and kept stalling the bugger when trying to leave. (Big line up behind me) looked down the the bloody stand was still down!

Ah how quickly you forget the finer things.

p.s. went for the Shoei Hornet..... My god that is a great Helmet. No buffeting, no noise (is that how good the Akros sound?) and it leaves the AX8DS Evo for dead. The only thing I can pick on is the length of the peak.
The tall screen from Pete at Screens for Bikes is a pleasure to sit behind. Now just need an Airhawk to be in motorcycle bliss

i rode a Ten today, interesting, I could possibly live with one, very different to my old wife the AT

A bit vibey on the bars but it had barkbustery things with no end weights. The seat is a shocker , that cutout is a killer, I would have to have the seat made flat pronto, would be no drama as I was flatfooted easy and abit more legroom from the extra height would be good.

We'll see

Try an Airhawk first you may not like it.

I've got one & didn't like the detached feeling it gave me on the bike.
I use it my ute on long trips.

Picked up the beast on Friday night

Went out to Mannum on Sunday for the SA Motorcycles demo day. Tried the 300hp Supercharged Jet Ski........ Faaark that thing is bloody insane, got spat off about 80ks when trying a maneuver that I normally can pull off on the low powered puppies

learnt the hard way.

Great to be back on the bike though and had a blast on the black top back thru Birdwood to Balhannah to Norton Summit then to home.
Love the centre stand and love the Shoei Hornet

If left in standard form they wear prematurely but can be temp fixed with some off cuts of inner tube, or some mod with a second bearing fitted.... It's really not a huge problem...just forms part of the maintenance program.

I have an under bar mount damper and a set of Windham high bend bars Greg and I managed all the cables and front brake hose. The throttle cables needed rerouting but no real problem. I did buy braided lines for the front but the line from the T junction to the master cylinder was too short and I havent got around to working in out.
