This is turning into an early start for the annual crop of SA trips. Great.

I just got back a couple months ago from a 8 month trip through Mex and central America and boy are you going to have a blast. If you have any questions feel free to ask. Oh, and a great way to meet some amazing people is through couch surfing . com. I did it towards the end of my trip and I wish I would have known about it earlier. My thread link is down below if you want to check it out. Take care and I can't wait to see some more pics.

Holy Cow, this is amazing! I can't believe the responses so far and I haven't even left yet!
Wow. I was reluctant to start a trip report when I still had a few days left to go. I'm glad I didn't wait.tedder thanks for the confidence on the internet cafes. I sure hope it works out because the video cameras will be running 24/7 and I'm sure I'll catch something of interest, even by accident. monosgraficas, I will surely look for you when I get to Buenos Aires. Voy a practicar el español todos el dias. ThrottleMeister, it was great meeting you at SALARR and I'm looking forward to catching you at the boat. Party in Colombia! speedtre, I'm pretty sure the sex change operation is cheaper, but I don't know for sure. How much was yours? Ragin Rabbi, you rock buddy! Yes, I will take you up on your offer! oldgringo, are you posting a ride report? If not, or whatever, let's send each other an occasional message to see where we're at and try to cross paths somewhere. Compass points are the best way to travel DireWolf, I'll get you for that! cacrossse, awesome, man, I will definitely be asking you some questions. I'm off to read your rr now! linuxoctane, thanks for the kind words on AK report. I hope to put that one to shame I'm sitting here, behind the computer, all impatient to leave. Maybe I should post some pics of some of the preparations? |

Gear and packing is huge deal for a trip. Doing it for a 6 month trip is more huger, even.

Hey drrags, looks like you're going to have an awsome trip! I love the bike you've chosen. I'm practically a neighbor in Gresham. If you want an advrider sendoff, just say the word!
I have lots of family in Costa Rica and I lived there for about 3 years myself. If you need a contact there / info on places, maybe I can help. I also teach Spanish so could offer any language help (pick-up lines) should you need. These might come in handy: Salma Hayek es una bruja junto a ti Si la belleza matara, tú no tendrías perdón de Dios ¿Sabes que es lo más bonito de mis ojos? El reflejo de los tuyos. Tantas curvas y yo sin frenos Actually, that last one...may you NOT need to use it unless completely off the motorcycle and in the company of someone you're interested in! |
