F* Yeah!

I've spent the past two summers surfing in Mal Pais/Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. If you haven't been, yet, you're going to love it. If you've surfed it, you know what I'm talking about.

I've always dreamed of starting a surf camp/safari operation down there - a bunch of camping gear and a dozen atvs or so.

Thanks for tuning in. I hope I dont bore you all to tears after few weeks. I'm going to be moving slowly. Surfing, Spanish school, etc. Probably wont make it out of Mexico until after Christmas.

Lots of work to do today, trying to get the throttle bodies un-fk'd, mounting up some new rims and tires, replacing fuel line etc. So much left to do still....

Shit, what was the name of that truck driving school?

Crashmaster if you and drrags and partner (aka felix and oscar) don't meet up somewhere, it will be a travesty. This is like two perfect storms just waiting to collide...

Felix and Oscar are going to be motoring to get to Colombia in two months. I'm going to be moving a lot slower.

Que Padre!

Sounds like a great idea. Be curious to see how the 990 holds up.
If should be fine

Be sure to check out Guanjuato and Zactecas.
Many spanish schools are located in Cuernavaca and Oaxaca.

The are also schools in Guatamala that are more laid back and cheaper, they speak slower than Mexicans so It may be easier to learn.

Buen viaje

I am in. Lucky bastard. If I want to take 2 weeks off, paid or not, I'd be looking for another job. Have great trip! And enjoy the tequila.

This better not suck.

I'll link you to the Latin America Ride Report Link Thread as soon as you are actually south of the US/Mexico border.

HURRY UP! I'm bored. When are you going to get there?

Will you stop by Glen's and go out photographing with him?

What will happen if you, Throttlemeister, and Draggs get together in one spot?

I am really thick, but wondering what you meant by No Fumar Español.... ¿No smoking Spanish? Is this akin to Vaya con queso? No tengo la más mínima idea que quieres decir.

Some of us never get the joke. Sorry.

Well, we will just have to see how it unfolds. I hope it doesnt suck.

Meeting up with Felix, Oscar and throttlemeister would be fun. I imagine whatever town we are in would wind up painted red.

I'll send Glen an email when I get to Mazatlan and see if he is around.

No worries. Its a joke from inmate tricepilot that I borrowed. When he runs into cops that try to shake him down for a few pesos, he smiles and instead of saying "no hablo Español" he says, "No fumar Español." Then I think they just get frustrated and let him go about his business.

I've never tried it. I always like to play the waiting game with the cops that try to shake me down for a Mordida. But I may have to try the "no fumar Español" because sometimes the waiting game takes a couple of hours.

subscribed.

Are you gonna bum a board at every break, or strap one one the side? I always thought a pope-bisect 5'10 twin keel would be perfect for this kind of thing. My dream is to do the entire west coast on a bike/board, but for now i'm a working slob with family and can't swing it.

Epic! As SV told me before I took off to Panama last December- "Plan to have no plan". Best advice ever.

I'll be living in Panama by the time you make it there. You will have a place to stay and cold beers ready for sure.

Awesome. I've been waiting for you to get this RR started.

I couldn't stop laughing when I read Tricepilot's "No fumar Español" statement a few days ago.

I'm glad you chose the 990.

Have fun!
