Glad you made it home safely, sounds like a great trip! If you set up a smugmug, photobucket or similar type account, you can save photos there and then you will see your url code when you select a photo. I am a Luddite with this stuff, but even with my poor explanation you will see how easy they make it to interact with these sites. I'm sure more knowledgeable folks will point you to a proper link of "How to attach a photo" and can describe the process much better than I am. Good luck, waiting on the photos

I did that same IBA ride....1680 miles in 33 1/2 hours was my final tally.

......be patient when you send the info in. I think it took about 6 month before mine showed up. I earned that cheesy license plate ring and display it proudly.

Yep! You would drive 2000 miles to see her too!

Well, the next couple of days were spent seeing family and traveling around between Tennessee and Kentucky. I got to spend time with my wife and my awesome children, and just be daddy! So, not much by way of pics.

.
Da Wifey! Worth the drive to see her smile!

As I packed for the return trip I spend several hours contemplating the rout back. I wanted to see some things on this leg. Eventually I just decided to go back down the Trace to get a pic or two and from there just wing it.

ADV It's more than a name... It's an Ikon for the INSANE!

Back on the Trace running south to the campground I stopped a few places to see some of the historic displays. There were representations of Indian villages, trading posts and a whole lot of Indian Mounds. I stopped at a visitor center and ran into this motley crew!

They were riding down to New Orleans for a big BBQ fesival! Get 'er done boys!
I ran into Justdirt and his buddies. I had to get the sticker!

I don’t know about the rest of you, but beer makes me feel pretty good! It also makes me have to pee! Now, I would not normally shoot any pics in the men’s room, but…

...you gotta love a place that you can't get a ticket for drinking and driving!

Beer also maketh a man hungry! This is not only Delta Blues country, but it is the Catfish Capital of the World they tell me. Now, I hate catfish personally. It always tastes like mud to me. Still, if I can eat pig brains, I can push through a catfish dinner.

Looked pretty good, but just in case... You know the drill.

But it was not “pretty good”. It was absolutely incredible! The best beans I have ever had, and there was absolutely no muddy taste in that catfish at all! I had to give compliments to the cook, because whoever it was had talent. She came out, graciously accepted my compliments and offered me more hushpuppies. It was only upon returning home that I found out that she had been head chef for Morgan Freeman! Who knew that Southern Soul Food could truly be gourmet?
Look these folks up the next time you are in Mississippi. http://www.thebluebiscuit.com
It was time to hit the road again, and within a few minutes I saw the bridge leading me across the mighty Mississippi River and on to Arkansas.

Got a bit misty eyed myself while reading that. Cancer is EVIL. Not sure if there really is such a thing as good karma or reaping what you sew, but you have done a very good thing. You have a beautiful family and a great attitude, enjoy!

Cheers
