Amputees who ride?
I need some assistance here. I recently met a young man who is going to have his left leg amputated below the knee as a result of an industrial accident. He is concerned about being able to ride his motorcycle with a prosthetic lower left leg and asked if I could find any other amputee riders for him to talk to.
I thought I had a couple guys lined up but it's turning out to be harder than I thought to find guys for him to speak with. I'm sure this guy will be very grateful if we can find him some encouragement. If anyone knows of another rider who has overcome a similar challenge and would be willing to talk to this guy please let me know. Thanks, Mark |

Are his concerns specifically to riding or more broad based in which riding is a notable part of?

TWO of the active rider members in my BMW Club are amputees.
I will be happy to post this at our Club board: http://bmwclubs.heavenforum.com/forum.htm |

My landlords brother rides numerous bikes with his left leg amputated. Mostly Bultacos and vintage enduro/trials bikes but he recently got a Triumph Daytona that he converted to right side shift.
I actually didn't even realize that he was an amputee because he was always on one bike or another and its not that noticable when hes walking. I could maybe get a phone # if interested
