Yeah, need to organise a decent ride.
Think Podge is away at the moment though, unless he's back?

Spoke to him on the phone last week chasing some parts and he was away riding down south I believe.

Was following you SPOT mate, glad to see you made it back.
Saw a heap of photos on the Motorbikin facebook page also, looks like a good turn out again.

Might pop out and catch up for some advise this week.

Just pulling some thoughts together guys and would like some advice re riding Yuendumu to Larjamanu to Top Springs as thinking of doing a Sunshine Coast to Pine Ck trip and this seems to be the leg with the least amount of info on it and seems a good way to avoid a LOT of bitumen. Thanks for all/any help.

Yuendamu to Larjamanu

Pete, did reverse in 2006, should be something like this; Pine Creek to Top Springs 380, Top Springs to Larjamanu 230, Larjamanu to Rabbit Flat (pretty sure he's closed ph. 8956 8744) 380, Rabbit Flat to Yuendemu 215

Thanks Crocracing, just what I needed. Looks like its 595km between fuel which should be doable with the Safari Tank and a bladder and a total of 1200km - 2 days seem reasonable? Will pull the map out and have a good look tonight. Cheers.

Rabbit Flat is definately closed forever. So you need 700 km range probly 3 days is more realistic

Thanks Podge. Appreciate the feedback - might pass on doing that solo and consider instead of coming across all the way on the Plenty will start that way then head north to Urandangi to Camooweal. West to just past Avon Downs then north to hook up with the Tablelands Hiway until the t/off to Elliot and across to the Stuart. West to Top Springs then up to Pine Creek.

The trip from the Sunny Coast will be my 1st multi day Adv ride so keeping this real so to speak is critical. The above sound reasonable guys for solo unsupported ride? My last plan was too adventurous at this stage and would rather not do that again.

If you wish, pm me an email address and I can send you a gpx file for Lajamanu to Stuart Hwy via Tanami Road. I travel these roads quite a bit and currently they are both in good condition.

Podge, how long does it normally take to ride the Litchfield loop to Bachelor? (approx)

If not too long I might try and get down to Adelaide River and ride a couple of tracks through there too..
