I sent him a pm the other day asking if he has gotten any time for the project. No response yet so he must be busy with something. I'd like to see what he makes of it since the beginning was very promising.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for the lack of updates. I've been working on other projects lately. I havent had any rush on this one as I wont be riding the XRR for a while. I will be getting to it I assure you and will post back as soon as I do.

Spent the better part of 2 weeks off and on mudding/taping/painting the workshop. Got the epoxy floor paint done as well as a bunch of organization. I need to work in a neat shop. 1/2 the shop is done.

Here are a couple of pics:

Thanks for the info Wes. What did you do for the lip (edge)? did you just carry it over?

I did the floor up to the wall then I put vinyl baseboard on. Its adhesive backed to stick to the wall and I used the appropriate adhesive to stick it to the floor and hopefully get a positive seal. I can take a closeup if you'd like.

Hey Wes,

I am talking about the lip/step at the front of the garage. Take a look at a pic of my garage/step (with the nice oil spot thanks to the wife). also how does this hold up to the winter (snow / Salt...) something we in Canada have to worry about.

Thanks,

Cumbacheech

I simply stopped the paint under the weatherstripping so you cant see the transition. Chemicals have no effect on this stuff. Its very smooth and hence very easy to clean.

Hey YFF's

Just an FYI on my design. As usual I've been reading these f-ing forums too much... I'm adding 4 - 10W LED lights to the fairing design. I'm going to run 2 on each side of the KTM headlight. So, my headlight setup will consist of the following:

KtM 990 Headlight with 35W HID, 1400 lumens
2-10W with spot reflector, 900 lumens x 2
2-10W with medium reflector, 900 lumens x 2

Thats a total of about 5000 lumens and a total of only about 6 A of power draw.

I'll post here when the machining begins. Unfortunately I'll be away with work for most of November but I'll have most of December off.

Here's the link with my inspiration: http://forums.mtbr.com/showthread.php?t=568134

And here are some pics of the unit I'm copying, sort of. Essentially split it down the middle and it gives you an idea of what I'll build. This guy does amazing work!
