Was The Tag...

The new tag is the new Red Diamon plant. Somebodies gotta keep this going until more people become aware of this TOR. Time for someone to step up!

Nice nite for a ride, first post, first tag. I've been watching the Alabama TagORama and like it simple much better if anybody is taking a poll. This was coooolllllll! Thanks for the chance to play!!!!!!

Next tag will be something I got on the way home. It really is a nice place, the pictures of the building didn't come out to good. So I like sweet tea and wanted to KEEP THINGS MOVING, so here it is, in the same county as the previous tag, some folks say I can be a little Moody. Without further adoodoo, your next tag.

Looks like somebody has a brand new motorsickle. It really needs some dirt. Great tag. I think this C.A.T. is a dang good idea.
I can't wait to get in the game and for future reference if I show my arse
hopefully it won't be where you can see it.

Just trying to help out here, since I love to learn about places to ride in my neighbor state, but are there any rules posted anywhere for the Central game? All of the other tag games have rules in the first post or some such record to help keep everything orderly...

I think all we ask is to keep this tag centrally located to Jefferson and surrounding counties just to give us something to do after work or on our off days lunch break whatever you know. There are still 2 more tag o ramas going in Bama so everyone as far as I know can chase them also for longer rides.Just as long as everyone has axcess to them I think is all we ask.Help me out Moto Mark and Istewart you guys have been doing this longer than me.

May I make a suggestion?

In order for this to be successful and enjoyable, you should consider a couple of things.

You need actual, established boundaries and rules.

We take pride in Alabama with the TOR.

Look how Jody stepped up with the Southern TOR in the very beginning.

He established boundaries and rules.

Someone will also need to be the keeper of the TOR map.

Ray does an incredible job in the North and he will be happy to give you some pointers.

The map is needed to see what has already been tagged so locations aren't tagged multiple times.

Just a little organizational suggestion.

Enjoy guys, and welcome to ADVrider.

Thanks for the compliment. I just got it two weeks ago. After riding a 620 & 696 Monster, it is taking me a little longer to adjust to the V-strom. I also am on the tips of my toes. But I'm loving the bike. It's great!!

I agree with Debandi

I think the rules of the Alabama TOR are fine as they are, so I would say simply stick to those rules, and adjust the boundaries to fit. Maybe designate a central point and limit mileage from that point, say maybe the B'ham airport, since it really is central to where most of the central alabama tags have been placed, and a 60 mile circumference give or take. I think beyond 60 miles defeats the purpose of this TOR. This would encompass roughly Anniston to Tuscaloosa, Jemison to Hartselle. A smaller boundery might be okay, but I think we may run out of tags pretty quick.

Just my 2 cents, but Sorebuttduc stepped up and started this TOR, so clearly, it's all yours, and I appreciate you making the effort.

BTW Weestrom, good choice on Horse Pens 40, that's a nice ride.

Rules and Boundaries

You should post some rules and boundaries for this TOR. It will solve any problems in the future that may come up. There are many riders that ride all over Alabama and may get a tag and bring it farther than you would like. Just my two cents.....

Bump

Im in, this will keep some miles off, since i made 2 round trips to North Bama in one week only to have it taken back both times. i will still chase the other tags, but on work days this will give me another one to chase.

good job starting it up, maybe i will go get this one in a bit, just got back from grabbing the Appalachin Tag.[IMG][/IMG]
