DR350 clutch lever with switch

Looking to replace my clutch lever on my bike. Ordered on up for a OEM Suzuki DR350SE. Thats mine. Got a Sunline one. The fit was perfect. However I could not start the bike. Took it apart and looked carefully. There is a clutch kill start switch (or what ever you want to call it). The new lever did not have the switch cutout.

MY question. What do most y'all do about this. Find a REAL OEM lever. Where???

Bypass switch. Seems like a good idea so that I can starter bump out of some tight spots, or is this a bad thing (it's a bike not a 4wd). Any for future broken clutch levers on the trail, it would be esialy interchanged.

bypass the switch. while yer at it bypass the kickstand kill switch.
kickstand switch is bad on the trail when you hit a bump and the
engine dies because the kickstand moved.

So how exactly does this switch work, you have to have the clutch in to operate the electric starter, or what? Seems confusing and unnecessary... I'd just remove the switch and hardwire the lines together, if it's normally closed (or open if it's vice versa).
