Soo....no Haynes eh? That's ok...we're here to help. Drain the oil first. Remove exhaust system. Unscrew the cable holder bolt and remove clutch cable. Remove cover. Remove 4 clutch release bolts in a criss-cross pattern as they are spring loaded.
Unstake the clutch nut from the notch in the shaft. Remove nut as I explained earlier...put it into gear, 5th preferably while your buddy stands on the rear brake and whiz that 90 ft lbs of torqued nut right off....some tips on the previous page. #11004
Soak those new friction plates in oil overnite before you install them.

Got the manual but was looking for the insider tricks before I start stripping things down.... I really appreciate the help though. Are you guys running synthetic oil in your AT's. Any advice there as I have been running synthetic. I was told to not soak the plates in synthetic oil so was wondering if I also should not be running it in the bike.

after a long period of time(half a year) i finnally managed to get my AT for a spin.

now...i do have some issues. all the maintanance work is done and i did sync the carbs and checked the membranes, and i have alsou changed the chain and sprockets(the rear has now 44 then 46 standard), did the valve clearence(just meausres cause there was no need to adjust) . the problem i have is that the bike has no power, i feel the bike very lazy, i does rev until 4500 but no kick like it use to in all gears. after some miles i could feel that she regains her soul in the first 3 gears but after that she is still lazy. any clou? a friend of mine said that the spark plugs are the fault but i changed them 4000km ago aka 1 year in time period. thanks in advanced
ps: she looked like this 6 months ago

I posted you PM Maks! of those dogbones!

I dont know if there are any russian AT riders here but i am visiting two times Russia this year. In May we ride around Karelia and Lake Lagoda and then in June i go to Kazkastan and then in August drive back to Finland. So would be nice to perhaps meet and share few beers if you have time.

Вы говорите Баня ? Yes it would be nice to experience russian sauna or steambath.

I would be driving through Moscow or go around circle roads of Moscow probably 7th or 8th July (not June). I will go Friday 6th over border in Finland to Russia and drive throuh St.Petersburg M10/E18 and then to Moscow and from there to i think M7 or M5 to Niznij Novgorod and from there to Trosck and to Kazakstan.

A million oil threads out there....don't get us started. Ok, me personally on my AT...I only use m'cycle oil and never car oil or full synthetic. I like the best of both with a synthetic/petroleum blend...Spectro Golden 4 20W-50 specifically. That's just my choice....you can put in whatever turns your crank.

Yer I have ready alot of them and never commented but I was more thinking of the oil to soak the plates in. I am assuming it would be best to soak them in the oil I am going to be using in the bike. Would you agree?
