Ah Mr. Snake...

You know I am SO subscribed to this.

It's about time you got out of the office / garage and made some miles.
This will be good for a grumpy old dude like yourself.

I know you are all set and prepared, but if there is anything I can do for you, just call or PM.

Safe travels and good adventuring.

tick tick tick tick tick tick tick tick. Damn time is going quickly.

Chase truck is ready, trailer is ready, tools are ready, only thing left is to see if the old Mountain Bike will start. May be pissed at me, hasnt seen much attention for a while. May try a kick or two today. Kill a few bugs here in the shop.

Vance can talk you into the harshest situations. There you are, warm and dry at home, and he lays on a vintage rap so intense the next thing you're cold, wet, and butt deep in mud a thousand miles from your nice safe bed.

And you don't remember how you got there! He speaks so calmly about riding off a cliff or plowing into axle-deep talcum powder that you do it!

And you wouldn't otherwise do dumb stuff.

Which means that i am going. hope the rivers are low.

Joe, Joe, Joe, If I remember right, I told you we were going to take a little ride on the old Vintage Strokers. I explained we would get the opportunity to see some wonderful things

like a day in the plains of Oklahoma,

the bluffs in New Mexico,

couple of passes in Colorado,

a little bit of desert,

and maybe a few water crossings (ok, maybe missing the water),

and make some new friends.

Now as I sit back and think about it, I covered it pretty well.

Wonder what the Eastern Section will introduce us too. Shouldn't be too bad. Maybe a little water.

Joe my friend, should be a relaxing, comfortable and interesting trip.

Yep Joe, I expect that about covers it if we can keep Dman under control, Gary, Mark, Anthony well feed and our feet on the pegs.

More bike prep (for you fledgling mechanics)....

Here is my overflow/vent for the rear 4 gallon tank.
I have relocated it lower and forward.

That damn thing looks like a Weapon of Mass Distruction. You know, there are weight limits on some of the bridges on the TAT.

I'm replacing Godzilla's dry-side crank seal this AM. Also greasing the spark advance weights/cam. Then lube the clutch helix and cable. Godzilla will be a smooth operator on the TAT.

My bike is running as good as it ever does, I wish I never rode the stealth rt1. It ruined me for normal motorcycles.

Leaving Tuesday for the LoveShack Tuesday then on to kitty hawk.

GO VANCE!
You KNOW you're going to have an epic trip.
You have all the right ingredients: The right attitude, great friends, and good bikes that you love to ride. Everything else will find you.

Go!
