Not necessarily since the new head has sims on the valves.

HA HA yes well I am asking myself that right now. I brought a YZF600 in 94. I blew the gearbox in that when it was under a year old. then there is the 08 KLR650 I had, It drank a liter of oil every 1000KM 3rd time lucky???

It's not a new model like KTM's change from the 640 LC4 to the 690 LC4. Most of it is minor updates of the time tested TE 610. The cylinder has been bored out by 2 mm and the twin cam head comes off the existing 510. The changes are more like when KTM went to the high flow heads on the 640 in 2003.

I would say it's all muck except maybe the skid plate. The weight distribution of the panier racks seems to be way too far rearward. Just my opinion and not worth much!

Given Touratech's close relationship with BMW it's not surprising they would support the 630.

You tell us As far as I know You are the only person on this site with one. And that makes you the site expert First thing you need to do is a back to back comparison with the KTM690
