It's the original...it's a 2011 model, so I would imagine about 3 years old.

I love riding my 630 but I joke with my friends that I'm riding a "Relic" because of the surprised and shocked reaction I get from others on the trail when they see me riding it.

I take by the lack of TE630 reports here that we have a real group of riders and a good bike because 90% of most threads on ADV is negitive B S or complaining of bikes.

Winter Upgrades: New LED lights and heated grips

Just installed a set of these on the TE. http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=926884

As nice as Jim's ADVMonsters and $140 shipped. No worries about getting caught on the trail after dark now...











Also added heated grip wraps from Aerostich. http://www.aerostich.com/a-to-b-util...rap-grips.html


And tested both last weekend on a 40deg ride.




Jim on his 630. Yes, that's ice floating in the puddle.

Agreed. They're either negative or the same questions get asked over and over and over. I have yet to see another one in my area. I've also had two offers to buy it and I'm not even selling. I guess that says something huh?

Bob, you keep bolting stuff on your bike while I'm trying to figure out what else I can take off. I guess that just shows the versatility of our bike huh?

My 630 hasn't looked as clean as Dyno's for a long time. Guess I'll have to get it out and spiff it up tomorrow. Love my 630 too.

Hey guys, sorry to intrude on the 630 thread but I have a question. I'm the owner of a new TR650. The forks suck. Can someone tell me what the OD of the 630 forks are? Thanks in advance.

45mm. But the stock 630 forks aren't great either. They need some work. You want to buy mine?

Charlie, I have both bikes and the triple clamps are the same, but of course the forks are 2.5 to 3 inches longer. You could do the swap but steering geometry will sure change, and you'd have to decide whether to use the TE wheel and brake or the TR. Or, do some machining for the swap. My TE forks are great since LTR overhauled them. It's a dirt Cadillac now.
