New F650GS

Since I have never purchased a "new" motorcycle from a dealer....ever...any advice?

What can I reasonably expect them to come down from the list price? 5%, 10%...

Should I negotiate stuff? (luggage, gear, accessories, etc)

Or should I just let my wife do her job and talk me out of buying a shining new blue twin cylinder BMW motorcycle with ABS, heated grips and a new-fangled computer.

I bought a 2010 F650 GS this month. I got $200 off just for asking for a better price. I also got 10% off "accessories," like the center stand, hand guards, luggage, luggage mount...
Oh, and there's a $500 rebate from BMW if you're a member of BMW MOA (and some other listed clubs) as of June 30. The rebate offer expires at the end of this month. I think they call it the Summer of Love promotion.
I wish I was TALLER.

I have an 09 and love it, best bike I ever had. I think your best bet is to work them for accessories, they do not make too much on the smaller models to come down in price. Especially a hot seller like the F650. There will be someone right behind you who be willing to pay the tagged price.

So why would you start now. Plenty of low mileage bikes out there.

I went the other way and didn't even ask for a good price on the bike. What i did was ask them to throw in free stuff, i got a bash plate and nearly 50% off the jacket and pants. They also gave me some other goodies like a shirt and a pair of Wylie X sunnies, cans of coke and a burger.
