Well in the world according to Jerry it shouldn't matter whether it ever becomes available or not. Everyone will happily ride away on their equal but much more reasonably priced Vulcan 750. To purchase anything else would be just plain dumb.

I keep seeing this thread has been updated and I click on it just to find more silly arguing. I get it. Some like this bike (like me) and some do not. Can we get passed that and find out if bikes are being built and delivered? If anyone has ridden one and what they thought and things like that? That is what I am interested in anyway, not whether this bike is better than an 1985 Vulcan. I mean, if that is the bike someone is comparing to the Motus, it is obviously not the bike for them.

The point is. The Motus is a high priced and VERY small piece of a VERY small piece of the pie. All the bikes listed above are great bikes! All of the Bikes listed above have good to great dealer networks. All of the bikes above are priced at a third less to half the cost of the Motus.

Tell me again how you think Motus will make it. If a larger company (such as Polaris) bought them they just might have a chance. MIGHT!
Personally I think a 30,000 sport tourer should have bespoke luggage, not off the shelf Givi bags. But I'm sure they will work just fine. I hate to be negative because I'd love to see Motus succeed, but with the small piece of the market they are targeting, and the level of the competition, I'm not optimistic.

Well, the Adventure Touring market looked a lot smaller than that when BMW brought out the G/S.

Expensive bike, too. And gutless, ill-handling, under-braked ...

But BMW got lucky: there were one or two wealthy idiots out there who bought one regardless.

Maybe they can put apehangers on it , take off the suspension and put drag pipes on it and sell it in the cruiser segment of the pie. They can rename it the Vultus.
