Yes. He's ignoring the horsepower, and Jerry's ignoring everything else.

Are we seriously talking about a carburetor on a $30K/$36K motorcycle being sold in 2013?
Jesus H. Christ, I'll be happy when this thing is finally released so that we can stop speculating and crying. We've effectively created a "silly season" thread for a goddamned motorcycle no one has ridden.

So put aftermarket exhaust and a PC on the Vmax engine and see where it puts it. The Motus comes in two HP levels, 161 and 185, I still have yet to see anything that says where that extra HP comes from, besides the different exhuast in the pics. And until it gets the EPA stamp of approval, their numbers don't mean anything... and more importantly a production model strapped to a dyno. But the point is a powerful V4 is nothing new to motorcycles.
edit- this is from http://www.motorcycle-usa.com/10/769...-Roadster.aspx "All that fancy engine talk equates to some serious real world wahoo! – to the tune of 165 horsepower at the rear wheel. Factor in about a 15% loss due to the shaft final drive and our dyno measurement matches favorably with Yamaha’s near 200 hp crank claims. It also makes the VMAX one of the most powerful machines we have ever tested. Only three production rides have registered more dyno hp: the 2010 BMW S1000RR (182.8 hp), 2008 Suzuki Hayabusa (166.8 hp) and the VMAX we tested in 2009 (166.4 hp). The Max produces plenty of torque too, with 104 lb-ft peak numbers."

While you talk about horsepower are you going to ignore the extra 200 lbs that the VMax carries?

Are you going to ignore that I specifically said I was comparing engines and not chassis?

I wish everyone would at least put him on their ignore list like I have, so we don't have to entertain the troll anymore.

On my tapatalk app I often start reading posts without looking at who the author is. As soon as he mentioned wanting a single carb, I knew who it was.
