Did anyone with a 08/09 have a clutch slave fail?

KTM updated their clutch slave in 2008 with part #60032061244. It has a new green seal and the piston is beefed up where it normally cracks.
Did anyone with a 2008 or 2009 bike have this new slave fail? Or has KTM has finally fixed the problem.

we've sold a lot of slave cylinders to '08/'09 customers so i would say the problem still exists. the real issue was not the seal but the design of the slave cylinder itself.

Mine failed this week due to bad o-ring. The design itself is likely fine but I had one with an installation error and the o-ring was deformed.

I also have a 2008, but does it have the new slave? I was told that the way KTM's are produced the new year models go into production sometime around the middle of the year. That means some 2008's are actually 2007's. Can someone confirm this? Everyone that replied so far has a 2008. When you guys replaced your clutch slave did it have the new green seal or the old black O-ring?

Nobody with the new green seal has stepped forward and reported a failure. Does this mean that KTM has finally fixed the problem? Evoluzione has sold new slaves for 2009 bikes which must have the new green seal, but did theirs actually fail or where they replaced as a preventative measure?

08 950SE, my stock slave cylinder failed after ~2700 miles.

Evoluzione unit installed no (#99030) - no problems since. The stock unit has well chronicled early failures.

why risk it while on the trail? - replace it.

Did you notice if your 08 had the new green seal?

I went to the KTM dealer today and asked if any 09's had their clutch slaves replaced. The service manager couldn't remember doing any and to make sure he even checked on their computer system. They never did any 09 clutch slaves. I also went to another shop that does a lot of work on big KTM's and they also haven't replaced a new style clutch slave.

I hate to be flogging a dead horse here, but until a couple of guys who replaced the new style clutch come forward I'm a little hesitant to cough up $240.00 for the Evoluzione.
