Did some late season laps at Lefthand today!

A bit of snow, but very little ice.

I gently set my bike down on this hill climb strictly for the photo opportunity... (yea, right. But it's a bit steeper than it looks!)

ULA's Delta IV Heavy was supposed to launch today at 4:10 PM but was rescheduled for Sunday the 21st. The Delta IV Heavy is MASSIVE and will be pretty neat to watch it take off with close to two million pounds of thrust!! This will be the third operational flight of the Delta IV heavy so if you're just sitting around Sunday and everything goes as expected I recommend you watch this!

FYI: ULA is based out of Centennial and is a 50/50 join venture between Lockheed Martin and Boeing. I've been working here as a security contractor for 3 years and hope to join ULA as an ME intern next summer. Wish me luck!

I momentarily though that there was a lift off locally. Than realized the cost to get said rocket up to speed as opposed to just shooting it off near the equator...leads me to believe we will most likely not see to many lift-offs.

Just launch one from the top of a 14er, and they'll be that much closer to space.

There definitely won't be any rocket launches of this size out of CO any time soon
