That was Mommer's sad, pitiful 950. Duke's is lovingly stored in the sherage.

Quick dinner with the missus

~6:30pm @home - "hey babe, lets go grab a quick ride and some dinner."

~7:15pm @Moffat Tunnel - "you know.. we haven't eaten at Tommyknockers in a while"

~8:00pm - rocks are fun!

~8:20pm - "uh, getting a little dark. this might not have been the most direct route"

~9:15pm @Idaho Springs - dinner mission accomplished!

~11pm @Somewhere near BFE in a dark mess of Central City FS roads - "sure I know where we're going. I just need to get to that one turnoff I remember right around here..."

~Midnight @descending a steep boulder filled rock crawler climb with running water in the middle, no moonlight and overheating bikes - "don't worry babe, I'm sure this is a shortcut."

~2am @home 85miles later - "see, told you I knew where we were going"

I've never really tested it. I think I only filled it full once, when I first got it. I'd guess around 250 miles, though.

I have over 250 on the Safari and am still a ways from needing a topoff. I'll take it to 300 miles and take a picture. (last fillup was in Meeker on the Dino ride)

CodyWife and I are gonna head up the 27th to see some family in Ft. Collins. Bringing Lil-Sis along so we'll be in the Creeper Van with the 950 on the back.

sooooo, if you're departing from FC on a Saturday Morning, and wanna ride some good shit with the spousal-unit on the back, and camp somewhere good (with showers preferably) and have to be back in FC Sunday night....

What's a good loop? Probably in the 250-300 mile/day range for "GOOD" roads. She's a trooper and can pull decently long days on the Renazco. I don't need to drive to CO to ride freeways.

KTHANKS BYE

up 287 to Laramie and over to the Snowy Range, on to Saratoga for a soak in the hot springs. Won't suggest Walden back to Ft. Collins due to 14 fire closures - but backtracking over the Snowies isn't bad.

You could hit the Black Hills too...

That's a start.

How about some of the old roads off 34 headed to Granby?
Do-able on a two-up 950? http://goo.gl/maps/GHQq

Or maybe we roll on down to Salida and buy a T-shirt?

I absolutely love this clip. It's more than likely a set-up, but I love it nonetheless!

My Daily Single-Track Workout

Until I get better at handling my 990, this single-track action will have to do...

(One lap of about 8 to 10 I try to do every other day)
