Yeah it is funny how all that virtual reality stuff disappears when you are getting shot at or riding a load of steel across the top of a skyscraper under construction. You suddenly realize that the mind is a linear function of survival strategies and all else really doesn't matter.

I understand what your driving at, but this theory isn't trying to suggest that life (and the brain that experiences it) is any less real in the hypothesis presented. In the 3rd theoretical option, the computer virtualization is so precise that it models everything... down to the very last neuron. So, whether this model existed in a computer model or the physical universe (and some would even argue that at the quantum level, these would be exactly the same) you would still experience your world in exactly the same way... right down to fear, pain, and death: no difference. The scientist states as much at the very end of the vid.

My first click on her ADV write up went to a major comic porn site. I deleted, tried the link a again and read her article and even did a like at the bottom. Weirdness there.
