If you set it trail side in the woods and had it film you going by.. you'd be 4 seconds up the trail before it got turned around (i.e. long gone).
Neat product.. probably not the right solution for any close up work.

I think the key is to move it back and zoom in a little. I wonder how smooth the panning is?

Could use a little help from you fine fellow Adventurer's. I am looking to take the family from the frozen tundra of WI to the beautiful mountains this summer. Looking to stay down around Silverton. Anyone have any recommendations on lodging? Homes? Cabins? Dont need a palace but the basics would be nice. PM me if you have anything. I really appreciate the help.

Got my fairing mounted today and had to go for a test spin despite the cold weather:




The fairing works great. I installed mine in the lowest possible position since this is my trail bike. I'm 5'10" and at 80 mph the wind hits me in the goggles. It's a nice clean airflow with no buffeting. I like how it keeps the air pressure off the chest.




I'm using a wide beam squadron as my low beam mounted in the upper position and pointed slightly down to illuminate the area in front of the bike. In the lower slot I have a spot squadron as a high beam pointed straight ahead. The low beam is run through an LED PWM dimmer with a high beam bypass all controlled from the handlebar Hi/lLo switch. This way on low beam only the top spot LED is on at 40% power and on high beam both LEDs are on at 100% power.

Older Motorcyclists May Be At Greater Risk Of Injury

Older motorcyclists may be prone to more serious injuries than younger ones, says a new study from researchers at Brown University. According to the study, those who begin motorcycling later in life, or return to it, are more likely to endure more significant injuries if they crash.

For the study, the research team reviewed data collected from over 1.5 million motorcycle accidents. They found that cyclists over the age of 60 were over 2.5 times more likely to end up in an emergency room with significant injuries than riders in their 20s and 30s.

"There are always some risks involved with motorcycles. But there may be some physical factors that make older riders more prone to being in an accident, or more prone to injury," says lead author Tracy Jackson.

Researchers add: "The greater severity of injuries among older adults may be due to the physiological changes that occur as the body ages. Bone strength decreases, subcutaneous and visceral fat distribution may change, and there is a decrease in the elasticity of the chest wall. . . . Other factors such as delayed reaction time, altered balance and worsening vision may also make older adults more prone to getting into crashes."
