In reality the meteoroid is the chuck of debris flying through the the sky, the meteor is the debris in the wake and the meteorite is what hits the ground, but only if it survives the impact.

That Russian footage is kind of grainy.
This recently released footage is much better

You gotta excuse the teacher in me guys, I spent last night grading tests that had all of that on it. Now I am sitting on a big loud school bus, driving 5 hours to Cedaredge from Craig for basketball games expanding my knowledge reading ADV. Damn I love technology, used to be I had to listen to them yell and try to read, now headphones, music and ADV. Total bliss!
Except for the sore knees, back and butt. Come on spring so I can ride!

You can use that I-Max vid to teach an example of the Faraday Cage in action.

Yes, last summer. And it's actually my neighbor's house. And a good reminder to take your feeders in once Spring arrives. Speaking of which, my aspens have little leaf buds on them already.

That is cool. One of my ex-students dad does that for WAPA (Western Area Power Admin) . Travels all over the southwest. We take all of out kids out to TRI-State power here in Craig in the spring and up to the coal mine also. So that will be easy to work in. Lots of cool science out there, and big toys. Pic is last spring(NO SNOW) pic of my wife and myself in front of a Letourneau loader wheel.
