So you picked the coldest weekend to ride a bike home and the hottest weekend to ride a bike home. Way to go Blakebird.

I might have just seen Blake heading up I-25 by the Academy Blvd exit in Colorado Springs.

Is the search engine on ADV a joke?

Nothing even remotely close to what I searched for ever comes up.

Boy you are sure hitting some of my old stomping grounds. Used to play pool with the Post boys and even have fun gang fights with them at the dance hall sometimes. I rode my first bike around all the canyon roads east of Post and Slaton (where I lived). And then there was the many days spent quail hunting around Post. I guess you had to convince yourself that the area wasn't always covered by snow after the last time. Need a picture of you and the new bike somewhere along the red road.

you might have

http://goo.gl/maps/DJK1X

there was a traffic jam that was piling up down to Academy, and it was standstill by the time I got to Briargate - so I got off there and went up 83. I usually get off at Interquest but it was deep in the heart of the traffic jam.
Accident I think...

The Deluxe Inn in Post, TX. Nice and clean and cheap.
A couple from Queensland on the RT were there, saw them again at about the only diner in town (George's).

Got warm again and I didn't bring but one pair of gloves....warm ones
I stopped at the Clovis, NM Harley shop and got a cheap pair of summer gloves. No logo, but they did have fingers

damn lawn sure grows fast

It was definitely Blake.

That traffic jam is practically perpetual both ways due to the construction. And I live and work on opposing sides of it.
