Nooo... Godaddy is the devil! Well, okay.. but they did support SOPA until they nearly experienced a total geek boycott. That alone is enough for summary execution of the entire exec team.

*Nix admin interviews are easy. Just ask to see their cell phone. If they're not running rooted android then they're just pretenders.

...but in all fairness, they did their 180 degree flip on SOPA in a mighty big hurry once they realized the (financial?) error of their ways. And the Godaddy/SOPA news cycle probably brought more awareness of SOPA evilness than if a big name like Godaddy hadn't originally supported it.

Next up: Godaddy ceo is an elephant-killing misogynist!

Hey now, my jailbroken iPhone is pretty much full-on BSD Unix... And many thousands of times more powerful than the Perkin-Elmer/Interdata 8/32 I first learned Unix on.

In 1989-90 I had an IBM RS6000 running AIX on the arpa/internet backbone all to myself @ the University of Waterloo. It was my first foyer into any flavor of IX after running PCs/Amigas/Apples/Tandys/Commodores, etc
I used it as an FTP server and a newsgroup server (yes I was a four-digit DoD member on rec.motorcycles )
(also had a NeXT cube back then.. which basically what OS X's UI is based upon to this day).
I was the of all my geek buddies!

To upgrade it from 512 mb of ram to 1 gig of RAM cost $384,000 CDN at the time

It is an inconvenient truth that I remember x-windows
I don't remember Lynx but I remember Veronica and Gophir (all pre-web).

...of course when it finally finished booting the first thing you ever did was open a shell because the keyboard was soooo much faster (and the web didn't exist). The only thing x-windows was good for was having a bunch of shell windows opened simultaneously..
one reading rec.motorcycles
one downloading porn off of alt.whatever
one uploading ftps
one downloading ftps
one showing your email
one playing a mud (put key in the lock and open the chest)
...and one monitoring network traffic to make sure the university admins weren't looking for where all of their bandwidth was going

...then came along OS/2.
