Thanks Blake, it's always nice to hear the motor talk to us, esp on a bike....my Vette sounded like a vacuum sweeper till I installed a cat back and it transformed the driving experience. Which reminds me of a set of Jardine slip on mufflers I've been saving for a rainy day.

Riding the greatest/latest bike doesn't always surpass the riding experience that bikes with personality provide

P.S. I'll volunteer to follow your Thruxton with a GoPro while riding your VFR....

I listened to this one quite a bit - and his blog had some tips on installation that came in handy - there were no instructions.
(came with a couple of tabs of metal with no clue what they were for or where they went. One was a sidestand bumper stop, the other for the optional centerstand)

I've put a couple hundred miles on it so far.... and it's all positives.
Control feel is nice, brakes are strong enough. The EFI doesn't mind the freer flowing BC pipes, and it's pretty comfortable.
It handles pretty well as long as you don't push it past the suspension's limits - but there are suspension setups out there for all budgets that will help a lot.

The VFR 1200 is still my main squeeze - it's a fantastic bike on the road and in the canyons. For serious scratching and crossing state lines it's the capable one and one of the most fun bikes I've owned.

The Thruxton is more geared to enjoying a sedate 'smell the roses' pace.
It's such a basic, elemental type of bike that it reminds me of my 1960 F100. Lots of character and fun to ramble around on.
Like having a T120 or T140 that I trust out of town

Not me, I always wear my trials boots/house shoes. Can't imagine losing your whole big toe and no more flip flops.

Development in Boulder

Here's something random. If you live on the Front Range in Colorado, you've probably noticed all the development going on.

Here in Boulder, I've been tracking development for years and I recently updated my Google Map. The map should be useful for anyone who has an interest in real estate in Boulder. If you have a moment, I'd love a little feedback, especially if you see something I've missed.

The link to the map is at the bottom. Take a look. Let me know what you think.

A couple of notes:
The map is Boulder centric. I'm trying to capture all significant multifamily residential, commercial, and industrial development in the City. There is some data from outside the city, but I'm not tracking it closely.

Given the ridiculous timeline for FasTracks, I'm thinking about killing the train stations. Agree or disagree?

There is some sponsorship language in the description but it's minimally invasive.

Here's the link: Boulder Development Map

Any and all feedback is appreciated. I've been using the new Google Maps recently and it seems to be working well. Thanks for taking a look.

p.s. If you're really into this topic, I'll be hosting a meetup to discuss development and it's potential impact in Boulder later this month. Details will be posted here.

Far less beer swilling and lederhosen than I imagined.

Difficult meeting with the Singapore team tonight. I was tied down, so I had to text the wife to bring me another blonde.
