I think I saw +1 on my car's thermometer at about 1 pm.

The SLV is looking like the Banana Belt right now by comparison. At least I didn't have to shovel any snow this morning. Only a trace of new snow overnight.

coal

How much are you looking for? Several tons? Just a little bit?

I inherited 1/2 -1 ton of coal with a rental property I purchased several years ago. What's left of it is in a shed in Yampa, CO. You're certainly welcome to take it, but I'd want to double check before you make a trip .......... because as of a few years ago I had given a guy permission to take it for his hunting cabin. I'm really not sure exactly how much, if any, is left? If you are interested, I'll be happy to check and then let you know.

If you're looking for tonnage ...... Bower Brothers in Craig, CO are about the only folks that I know of that are selling small amounts around here anymore. You can contact them at 970-326-8587 for Josh, or at 970-326-8563 for Brandon. I've heard that they buy in volume from a mine and then crush it. Only available on weekends too I believe.

Around here you used to be able to go out to a couple of the different local mines and get your trucks loaded. I don't think they sell to the general public anymore though and I assume that it's a safety/liability issue?

Let me know if you are interested in me checking for you.

Maybe Norm from Craig will add something. Seems he's pretty well plugged into this kind of stuff. What say ye, Mr. Yoast?

Bower Brothers has some here in Craig, I get mine at the Power Plant from a friend, we pick up what falls off the trucks. There was a place around Carbondale at one time also. Another option, look for a full coal train parked, visit it at night.

West Yellowstone was at -47F this morning when I checked the weather. Heading there friday night.

Truck was grouchy at -18F when I fired it up.

Get ladder and flashlight peak down chimney.
"We got a raccoon!"
My kids were very excited.
Puppy was going bonkers.
Wife not so much.
First time we have had fire in there.
My neighbor has been providing good living quarters for wildlife.
Ill let him continue.
My neighbor has had raccoons living in his chimney for years. And he doesn't know it but my wife feeds them (and the ten others that sometimes come around), a couple of skunks, two foxes, and I think we even had a couple pumas at one point trying to scavenge some of the live stuff. Had a big buck deer trying to know down the shed door where she keeps here bird seed.

Its about time! I might have to make a trip over there next weekend. Starting to get cabin fever with all this snow and cold.

This is how Yahoo considers their business customers - funny how yahoo propaganda sections work, but mail does not.. and leads to this graphic.
