Adventure Touring & REV'IT! Gear VIDEOS

Hey Fellow Inmates,

We get so many questions about gear through our thread and over the phone, that we decided to do some sizing videos to help people correctly take measurements. That quickly turned into a bigger production than we initially thought so we decided to do more, which ended up stemming into full on detail product reviews. We like the direction its gone and out plan is to keep them coming.

Just this week we have started rolling out In-Depth Gear reviews and Sizing How-To's on Adventure Touring Products at RevZilla.com. We are calling it RevZillaTV and we have a whole Youtube Motorcycle Gear Video Channel to organize and display them.

I will post new ones as they go live.

We are looking forward to any & all feedback, as well as requests on any brand or type of product we carry! We will happily shoot and detail the gear or HowTo's our fellow inmates request.

The REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket was the first video we shot, and we know its a bit dark - let us know what you think! I am 5'10" & about 180. I am a 44 Suit. I wear a XL Cayenne Pro.

REV'IT! Uses SuperFabric on a handful of its higher end products. A lot of people are not sure how it exactly works or what it looks like in person. I hope this vid bridges that gap.

Great idea Anthony! Looks really good!

I think the longer videos are good for people who are just about to pull the trigger, and who want to invest the time to really know the product.

However, not sure it's going to work for the casual shopper.

To that end, you may consider having a structure like this:
1) Jacket overview - 1:30 max
2) Jacket indepth - 10 min as you have done
3) Technical snipets taken from the indepth that people can just watch on their own maybe 20-30 seconds that cover a specific feature. These could be general in that they can apply to all jackets that have the feature - like VCS, exskin etc.). I know when I was shopping, I couldn't tell what the heck VCS was, and then just realised it's a waterproof zipper!.

Anyway - good job!

There is no way we could not shoot the REV'IT! Infinity Suit in our first batch. This is the rival of the 'Stitch and is born from many spaceage materials as you will see. Its meant to be an ultra high-end suit for hard-core adventuring and/or serious commuters.

I am wearing a Large Standard, and am about 5' 9.5" tall and weigh about 175-180 w/ broad shoulders. The suit comes in black as well.

Much like SuperFabric, We have had a couple requests recently about the difference in REV'IT! Exkin Thermal linings va Standard DuPont Thermalite which we see in many other quality Adventure touring Jackets.

Exkin is used in the REV'IT! Cayenne Pro Jacket and Pants as well as the Navigator Jacket and the Tempest & Unix Gloves.

New for 2009 the REV'IT! Dragon Jacket was introduced to be a 4-season all weather jacket at a medium price. The Off Track, Cayenne Pro and Sirocco all have their place, but REV'IT! realized that the casual Adventure rider may not need space-age fabrics and might not mind paying a little less for a coat that does all of the basics extremely well. The Dragon at $299.99 has been a home run and its complimentary Women's version the REV'IT! Siren has done equally well.

It amazes me that we took this long to do a video review on the REV'IT! Ignition Leather & Mesh Jacket, one of our homerun jackets. All the protection of leather with Dynax Mesh for supreme summer venting. Removable waterproof liners and thermal vest coupled with understated style make this a almost year round everyday riding jacket.

The REV'IT! Air Jacket is simple and effective. For under $200 dollars it is the best selling hot weather mesh jacket with decent proteciton that we carry. I have a black XL myself and it tends to be my goto summer jacket when its too hot for my Dainese Newsan. It has a short zipper and jeans loop and the cut of it is articulated with multiple panels, so the riding postion is very snug but comfortable.
