BRP - Shenandoah Valley Loop 10/10
My calender is wide open this w/e. I suspect there's going to be some great foliage color judging from what I saw this past w/e on the BRP and in Goshen. Anyone interested? I put together a ride suggestion for 10/10. This could become a 2-dayer if folks are interested in expanding it - eg. including the Peaks of Otter on the BRP and or venturing further west. Feedback? Takers?

Starting where and when?
You'll probably ride by my house in Crozet...but when?

We'll be up there in the cage, celebrating our 22nd wedding anniversary.
Enjoy the ride. It's should be a beautiful weekend. Be careful on wet leaves! |

I just did a bit of that with my son this past weekend, Richmond to Montebello and a bit of the BRP. He loved it. He turns 17 on Sat. My son rides my K75 and I'm on my new to me K1200RS. If he and his Mother don't have plans I'd like to try and make this ride. Meeting around 64W and 250(Charlottsville) would be pretty easy.
I'll know more later in the week. |

Not to Hijack my Own Thread
I just realized I don't have to work Monday. - oh right, I happen to be out of work. Yet another great ride route I'm toying with to do over a few days to Burkes Garden:

Shoot... got stuff to do on Saturday.
We were over there last Sunday, so here's a suggestion... when you get to the end of 56 at Steele's Tavern, instead of taking 11 south for a few boring miles, take a left on 11, then a quick right on 606 over to 252 to get to 39. Both 606 & 252 are cool roads.

We just spent a week riding out of the Elkins area in various directions. The colors were coming in nicely in a lot of spots.

Just looking at your route, you might consider cutting over from 678 to 614 at Williamsville and going down to 39 via 220.
That section coming East from Warm Springs on 39 is really fun and 614 is cool as hell too. Course I haven't done 678 all the way down...might be just as fun. Probably is... ![]() Just thought I'd mention it. All those roads are fun...

I might be interested in your loop. I'm on a 690E and this would be my rear tire's last hurrah before I put a new one on!

Do to the lack of interest I considered an invitation to ride with a group of 4 on a MD,PA,WV,VA tour. I'm going to try to do the Burkes Garden Run the w/e of the 16th which will include the south route in/out of Burkes Garden.
