A Church Museum? Could it also be a museum in an old church building? Just asking? I've searched the DFW area and have only one prospect, so far. Since I don't have any time this week. . . . . . .

Cool, no problem either way. I though might be a little too specific.

Been looking around and have some great candidates. This tags definitely directing my research into parts of the local history that I'm not familiar with. Not able to find a "church" museum within 200 miles but several with church themes.

For instance, there is a museum about 40 miles away that is dedicated to the works of a fellow who founded an academy and a church with the academy being an outgrowth of his church and pastoral activities.

Would a religiously themed museum work even though it isn't specifically part of a church or in a church building?

Laugh Here it is.

I want to go there, but job has been 6:00 every night. HOPEFULLY tomorrow if Bruce does not beat me to it.

I have been to church inside this building.

All I need is a little time to go grab it.

They do exist.

Here's a good one for the NC Taggers:

Creation Museum & Taxidermy Hall of Fame/Antique Tool Museum in Southern Pines.

Weird America for sure. "Stand without apology..."

http://thecreationmuseum.org/

If I didn't have company in town I'd make the ride this weekend.

Creation Museum

So I just clicked on this last night for the first time and saw Flashback's post. The Creation Museum is literally right down the street from me, so I couldn't resist the grab. Me and Misses Donkeys (aka Sidecar Sunshine) took our time getting out this morning. I certainly thought we'd get bruced.

Unfortunately, the Creation Museum....and Christian Bookstore....and Fudge Shop....and Taxidermy Hall of Fame....and Antique Tool Museum...was closed for the day. I wanted fudge.

Flashback, thanks for the idea. I took this photo in Carthage just for you!

Now for a new tag.

New Tag!

New Tag!

Show me a golf course that has hosted a USGA Major, PGA Tournament, or CanTour event. Clubhouse/resort shot with the name takes the tag.

Here we have Pinehurst, host of many US Opens, to include the 2014 Men's and Women's US Open.

And a few more for posterity.

Had some more, but Misses Donkeys is complaining of a bad hair day.

Golf grab

The clubhouse doesn't have the name anywhere on the outside and this is the only shot I could find that had the name and a hint of the clubhouse in it.

Arrow points to clubhouse:

New tag

Moving around a bit today...

A bakery. Not a grocery store or whatnot, but a place where they actually mix the ingredients and heat them up to make bread.

Too bad we've stopped for the day. This would be an easy snag here in the sandhills.
