Haha! I have posted it here before. Here´s a side view! The yellow headlight is photoshopped yellow in this image, it is not "that" yellow IRL as you can see in the image above! And the sidepanel also looks weird as I have photoshopped it black due to an old sticker that I have taken off by now. And its way too clean on this image...

Wicked

Thanks!
Yeah, I know! I have photoshopped that to
Here´s what it would look like. Have you done it with plastidip on yours? When I have tried plastidip before it tends to peel off when I peel off the masking tape, the tape is taking the plastidip with it. Maybe I havent sprayed enough layers or taking off the tape too early?!

Yes, PlastiDip on mine... Black on wheels, Gunmetal Grey on tank and fenders.

Masking tape ?
I haven't used any for the wheels (nor did I remove the wheels !!!)
Just sprayed directly, and peeled off the overspray on the spokes and the tires (which would eventually wear off anyway... Plastidip is a rubber coating afterall !!).
Didn't even bother waiting for the reqcommended 20c ... It was sunny but hardly over 14c when I did the wheels... Result just perfect !!

You might want to mask the tire if you take the wheel off the bike, but should never try to get a neat, perfect edge with masking tape as you would do with paint.

Yours is gorgeous with black rims !! Try again !!

And, how well do the plasidip hold up, is it durable? If I drive around in the woods will they end up all messy after all the stones and branches I´m riding thru?!

They are all awesome. It just proves how great the W is. It looks great stock and there is really no end to the modding that you can do with it. Each one has great character.

- I bought 2 cans for the tires, but I did with one.

- The body took a more than 2 cans but less than 3 (I had bought 4!) with up to 6 coats on the tank and fenders.
So altogether the cost was around 100€ at 20€ per can.

Now I'm considering spraying some plastidip glossifier... Dunno yet..

I just did it a few weeks ago, but so far so good... It's a bike I ride on weekends back home in Burgundy, so it doesn't rack up much mileage.
The wheels I sprayed back in February (as I said, during less than perfect conditions), and it went thru pretty harsh weather since.
Yet, not the slightest crack or bubble...
I even washed it a couple times with a soft pressure washer.

Are you in the US or elsewhere ? Just to determine the year of your W.

Another Euro-W then !

What tires do you run ?
I bought it with brand new Michelin Pilot (road), but I think I'll switch to off-road or mixed tires soon, many of the country roads here becoming more often than not dusty (or muddy!) trails...

.. Heidenau K60 comes to mind..

Thanks.
Very difficult to find the exact W trail tire sizes in one single brand.
I think only Heidenau K60 and K60 Scout meet the requirements both front and rear..

I will post fotos as soon as bike is ready
Well, now my W650 is back in my garage, after 6 months of winterstorage. I have been working on my bike, and also had some mechanics to do some work on it.
I found out that I have Wirth progressive springs up front, an have now changed the seals and dustcaps and everything on my fork. Changed the oil(about time?) to 15W.
PO hav also removed the fuel srew caps, and I just check the turns.
My LaRossa clubmans and DCC bar end mirrors are fitted, but I have to do som small adjustments, as you can see:(sorry for the bad pictures)

Just been able to drive it a few miles(6 celsius and rain), but it feels and looks good. Some vibrations in the clubmans, and maybe I have to sacrifice my bar end mirrors.

I also removed the emission control system and changed the sparkplugs, they were really bad!
I will come back with better photos, just have to wait for some nice weather.
