Well if anyone does pick up these pipes and wants to ditch their stockers, hit me up. My pipes have been de-baffled by a PO and I'd like to return them to stock without spending a ton of money.

Never did figure this out, what's the advantage of wrapping your headers?

On a high performance engine, it allows for a better combustion cycle by enhancing the exhaust circulation, the pipes keeping the gasses hotter.

On a quiet motor like the W650's, it probably does not do it to the point where it is noticeable. Yet the sound is altered, deeper even without the baffles, and, well, it looks cool...

Personally I find it ugly, and can't fathom what the added value is (besides being aftermarket and more efficient than OEM). Well, the fact that these pipes are installed on an otherwise stock bike probably doesn't help either...

CRD is a bit overrated as far as I'm concerned. Just jumped on the customized bike bandwagon barely 2 years ago, when the guys in Copenhagen (W-Monkees) or Paris (Blitz) had been at it for years.

Not that on a relatively stock bike it would make that much difference, but it looks like it could be as much as 20 lbs (9kg) or so lighter than the stock exhaust.

I have a feeling you will be paying dearly for each lb. lost.

I like them and I do agree with you that they would look better on one that's a bit more customized.

I have no idea about CRD or their history. I am a fan of Wrenchmonkees. though.

Well, let's say here in Europe WrenchMonkees have paved the way since the early 2000s. (Deus was doing its stuff in Australia meanwhile...)

Blitz in Paris got started in 2009...
Then here and there, as always with good ideas and successful and courageous endeavors, some guys jumped on the wave, picked up the ideas and the tricks and pretended they were theirs from the beginning.

Not bad... for an underpowered, overweight old man bike. Yeah, they are w800's, but it's damn near the same bike.

The stock first year W650 (the blue and white one) has got to be the most beautiful Japanese bike ever sold in the U.S. I could spend countless hours just sitting and staring at it. I messed up big by not getting one when I had the chance.

By the way, it's Polaris Blue / Silver Grey.... No white in that color scheme...

Won first place in a show ?? Huh ha !! Getting a bit carried away here ... Besides the overenthusiastic sales pitch, it seems to be a nice one with a known history...

Jerry this one's for you !
