I've always had some romantic image of Romania in my head; not sure where it came from...

Thanks for confirming it.

What a beautiful country!

Thx man! Yes, here are some great places to ride, and you are allowed to ride some great off road trails too , there's no restrictions yet, except the National Parks.

Hi there

I am another romanian rider, friend with Hosszu, but I live in Cluj-Napoca(100km west from Targu Mures) near Apuseni Mountains (the western part of the Carpatians). I will post some picture from my rides in this area. Enjoy!

An old fortress near Iara (it is 1000 years old and looked like this)

Pietrele Albe (in translation The White Stones; this rock formation is near Vladeasa Peak)

Transalpina(this road is very popular for the offroad riders)

Lake Munteni(near Remeti)

Our group(break time on the bank of Lake Munteni

A nice resort near Lake Dragan

And my most recent trip
Tarnita lake

View from the top of Tarnita Dam

Me and my girlfriend on the dam

A nice green hill in Marisel village and a panorama

Belis-Fantanele Lake

My bike in Belis(interesting lodge)

And finally a view from Belis

I hope you liked the pictures. I will be back soon with another photos and stories from my trips.

PS: for more photograps you can check my blog(link in the signature)

Transalpina (as well as Romania) is FANTASTIC. There you can find everything for adventure: nice places, good off-road and brand new asphalt stages, wild nature and friendly people.

Last weekend we had a nice tour on Transfagarasan:

(Transylvania)

(the bright line is the river Olt)

(Balea Fall)

(Transfagarasan)

(one of the many bends with excelent grip)

(the road is like a rollercoaster)

(I love this bike)

(Lake Balea)

(dawn on the southern hillside)

very nice pics from your trips trought romania,

I've been in the area of Deva during a 4X4 Transilphany trophy, there I rode on my friends KTM 640 adv, and 2 weeks later I bought myself one.

It was a great way to spend my vacation on the roads in Deva,
-offroad riding on bike
-taking pictures
-watching 4x4 exteme machines
-enjoy the peace of nature.....

One day I will come back to Romania..........
