Looks cool. I assume you'll get yourself set up with Serial#000001, so can I have Serial# 000002?

.......and many thanks for the new baby goodies you brought over.

Absolutely, and your welcome for the baby goddies.

I'll be over tonight to take care of that coolant problem.

I'm hoping that the metal shop gets me the next rev today or tomorrow, otherwise I will not be back in town until the week of Aug 3rd.

I'll keep everybody posted.

Just talked to the fab shop. They are laser cutting the piece out right now. He needs me to drop off the kickstand so they can make sure they get the mounting holes exactly correct. I'll be dropping it off in the morning and hopefully I'll have something to test fit on the bike by the end of the day tomorrow.

So I took the kickstand up to the shop first thing this morning and they were just getting ready to bend the part. I brought it home for a test fit before they drill and tap the kickstand mounting holes.

Here it is:

And on the bike:

As you can see, it's made from 0.250" sold rolled steel so it should be much stronger than rev 2. Also, I increased the compound bend and removed some material near the back to make more clearance to the chain.

We bent 2 pieces so they are setting up the other one for drill and tap right now. I'm taking this one back to the shop so they can finish it, hopefully I'll have it back tonight for the final fit.

If not, I'm sorry to say that this little project of mine is going to have to wait for a couple of weeks. I leave tomorrow to go riding in Colorado and will not be back home unitl the 3rd of August.

I will do my best to keep the project moving while I'm gone.

Is there a shim in this the subframe mounting point?

IIRC the existing fastener has a small OD, but the mount point on the frame has a large OD - and there is a washer with a shim to centre the bolt on the frame....

Looking good though!

Here it is:

Here are a couple videos I took:

Fits perfectly and took a good bit of abuse. I think this is going to work out very well.

We had to mill out the mounting holes and then tap them by hand. My buddy is going to talk to a machinist friend of his to do that part on a CNC mill. After that he is going to work up a price based on the entire job including powder coating.

I'm leaving tomorrow but I will be in touch with the fab shop and will post a price as soon as I know something.
