Questions for PABiker
G'day PABIker, well done on your great looking and functional bracket. I have 4 questions that other potential buyers may have.
1. Does your bracket fit without modification to the chain sliding block? 2. Under extreme suspension/chain travel does your bracket clear the chain? 3. On the frame tab that secures the subframe (and your bracket) it has a counter-sunk hole for the M10 bolt. Is it necessary to have a counter-sunk like washer to fill this void or not? 4. And with your bracket is the bike returned to its original lean angle as it rest on the side stand? I only ask this because I think the bike with Scorpions fitted the lean angle is too minimal (makes me anxious). A couple more degrees off the perpendicular maybe a benefit. Again, congratulations on a well designed bracket. All the best. Cheers Rich

PM sent. I'm in for one. Great price also.
You can ship up to 70lbs for $10 using the USPS Priority Mail boxes they provide if it will fit. I think $10 is very doable for shipping.

Sidestand length shouldn't matter since your stand is the correct length for the suspension on your bike. What would make a difference is the angle it comes off the bike. If you look at the parts diagrams, the angled part of the sidestand bracket is the same for the Adv, S, and SE, so they all come off the bike at the same angle. So in my simple mind, it seems like if PABikers bracket has his sidestand footpad flat on the ground, his angle is correct, and the result would be the same if it's used on an S or SE with stock sidestand. That make any sense??????? BTW, I'll take one. Sending PM now. |

Interest is very good, I have messages for 25 pieces so far. I just got off the phone with the shop and told him to make 50 pieces to start. He is going to order the metal and hopefully laser out the parts sometime next week.
After that it's off to the machine shop and then the powder coater so I will not see the first piece for at least 3-4 weeks from now. This will allow me the time to setup the PayPal stuff, so I will contact all of you in the next few weeks with payment instructions. I am going to create a new thread in the Vendor section next week with all the information so that I don't get yelled at the Admin. Thanks everybody.

We just finished loading up the trailer and are heading for home tomorrow morning. We rode every pass in the Ouray/Telluride/Silverton area and have had enough. Nobody got (too) hurt, no flat tires, and no breakdowns. Not bad for 8 guys on the mountains around here. See you guys this weekend.
