"now that we know you have audio/video capability, how about a walking tour around the garage?"

Before you do that, you might want to take down the poster of Adolf Hitler. Somebody might get offended.

jeezuz!

its not in any of the pics that I can see, but yeah, there a poster a friend of mine gave me with adolf & it says 'when I come back, no more mr nice guy' its tacked to the wall, mostly covered by a stack of books.
Its been up there about 10 years & covered in dust & gas fumes. Im sorry I didnt take it down. I forgot it was even there. If you are that easily offended, then shut the door of your cubicle & dont open it again.
Im not a nazi, a skinhead, a satanist, a black panther, a southern baptist, a militant lesbian, or any other hate group.
I have some things that people may not like. I have some things that people may like. theres crap shoved in every corner. Im not gonna sanitize my garage on the offchance that someone may look at it with a microscope & find something they dont like.

Anyhow, its my garage, you arent required to come in.

now back to the bikes.......

Doug

well, I dont really hate BMW's, but some of the riders? well thats a different story....

I love the old beemers, I had a '39 R71, it was awesome. I traded it for the 28 Indian. That indian was about the only thing that would pry that '39 away from me. I still miss that bike.
I also had a 63 R69S w/ Steib, only reason I sold it was to help finance my RTW Indian trip. Still miss that one also.
Tryin to work a deal on a R69S with R90 motor in it, w/ sidecar. That'll help scratch my bad sidecar itch.....

And no, that guzzi with flipflops? you'd lose a toe.
the heel type brake pedal is a bit tricky to get used to with normal shoes.

eh I've found I can dislike people that ride just about anything. Ya know who I really hate? People that buy a 10 year old jap bike, pay next to nothing for it then ride it for 100,000 miles without ever touching a wrench. those bastards

yeah, those guys are the worst!!!!!

I have to say tho, lately the ones that really get to me are the 'tough guys' on the new harleys. At least most of the BMW guys will talk to me, the TG's are too busy looking hard & dreaming about what new doodads willie g will design to make them look even cooler.

I'd love to be that clueless. Life would be much easier.

they've ruined choppers for me. What used to be an interesting bike I now see with eye-popping purple and yellow paint jobs and 40 foot forks on every street corner. expensive as hell too. I think the chopper shops' ads are all aimed at mid-life dentists

Doug, just in case you want to stick with that carb, it's from a 70ies or 80ies 2-Stroke Jawa, produced by Jikov in CZ.

Cheers,
Greg

it runs pretty damn good with the Jawa carb, I dont think I'll be in any hurry to replace it. Its not like Im doing a 100 point resto on it.
I would have thought it was older, with the remote float bowl.
