I seem to recall the manual cliams 140 stator capacity, but I could be wrong. What is not specified is the amout of power used to run the ECU, EFI, Igniton. With a year of field testing, I can tell you that the 690 powered the stock 08 headlight, heated grips (KTM), GPS, XM radio and a Warm & Safe jacket.
On my 09, I am running an 08 head light, GPS, XM, W&S heated jacket & gloves. I have my 276 C set to show the battery output. Even at idle with everything powerd up, I am seeing the battery maintain consistent at or above 13.2 v. With the motor off, GPS on, everything else off - but after having been on - I am seeing the battery at 12.3 resting. I do not know how the PO treated the battery, I keep mine on a tender, but the values I am seeing are consistent with what I see on my other bikes with similar setups. So my observation/conclusion is that he bike has sufficient out put to power the above without degrading the battery. Your experience may vary.
I grabbed power from both ACC leads behind the headlight to power everything but the heated gear, it comes directly off the battery but the controller draws almost zero if you leave it on but disconnected to the jacket. I also used a relay powered by a jumper off the ignition-controlled ACC, so both are powered only with the ignition on.

For a little less load on the 08 690e you can go to a Candlepower 50/100W H4 bulb and leave it on low beam when powering a lot of stuff. Stock light is 60/65W.
Does anyone know a good place to get the stator rewound for higher output?
