Wow. That was one of the coolest stories ever! What an awesome thing to do!
Just look at some of the belligerent/anti-social behaviors of some of the senior members on this site.

Mr B, What an amazing man you are!
Thank you for your service, and your example of a good, old fashioned man.
One who gets things done, doesn't complain about how hard he might have it, just gets on with what he is able to do and has a good life in spite of it.
You are an inspiration to others.

Apparently your example has made an impact on your Daughter and son-in-law. For two folks to love and honor a parent and veteran in this way is a true joy to behold, I am sure you must be very proud of them both.

I may never meet the generous "Ol' Broad" who so kindly took you for a spin, but if I did I would be happy to do a kindness for her. I am honestly impressed with the great sense of community spirit and willingness to help one another on this forum. I only wish that it was more common, at least we motorcyclists keep that spirit alive.

God bless you and all those who helped bring the smile to your face so obvious in the photo's.

If you can't laugh at yourself, you're just not paying attention!

Man, I seriously hope this works out for you two. What a once in a lifetime experience it would be! When it happens, we want a Ride Report!

I remember my grandfather of 98 y.o. who had always wanted to ride a motorcycle, but never did. At 98 he got a ride in a hack with my father as the pilot.

Now, my dad has M.S., our dream has been to ride to Alaska (he's never been there). In 2011 I'll be 40, he'll be 70, and the ride plan is all together. My B-day is Jan 20, his is Jan 26, and this is our b-day present. I fear however that if the disease keeps up it's current course, he may not be able to make the ride.

Thanks for this wonderful story. The lump persists.....

Thumb Hooray for Howard

Great story, Just goes to show it's not the length of the ride but the quality. The quality could not get any better than this. Way to go Linda and Howard.
