Cheers rockt, that's what I like about it too.

What I was meaning was that the bike is almost 15 years old, and the previous owner was more concerned about riding it and having it serviced regularly than engineering some fantastic upgrades, or spending all weekend in the shed polishing the thing.

... and on the subject of well polished bikes.

Cheers to you too paragon. The North end of North Island is the terrain that GS's of all flavors were designed for, and now that I've a got a couple of options to choose from, I'm beginning to think that all my birthdays have come at once.

Roll on summer and the long evenings to start exploring.

Also, thanks for the ps, I look forwards to putting it to use of it in the not too distant future

Admit it, the dark side is calling....

My DarthVader, '82 staintune pipes, new discs (ouch!), bit of rust in the tank and the front end wiggle at 30kmh..... they all do that don't they?

I'm invisible to cops when riding this..... they must think '' just another old wanker on a old bike''

You can't post pics direct from your hard-drive they need to be hosted like here...
axle.smugmug.com

then you can ctrl+c (copy) the image location.... in your post click the button and paste the url, click OK and the pic appears by magic in the post.....

Talking My 90S (and I)

- 1975 90S
- One owner (me)
- 120,000 km (so far)
- NEVER restored - just maintained

Bike was completely disassembled when new and the aluminum polished. I ride it everywhere - and I still enjoy it.

Picked this one up from the side of a nieghbors garage for 500 bucks. Had been sitting under a BBQ cover for 3 years. Rebuilt the carbs and she fired right up. Have the front end apart now to do the head bearings. Got the luggage too..........in it's original packaging!

1982 R100RT, just over 20,000 miles. Black Cherry paint. (Beautiful color and just done in April 05, but not my color choice.)

Looking for suggestions on small "S" type fairing, lower bars and different style mirrors...any recommendations?
