Yeah mate, you should've called in. Dodgy did, on his way back from Auckland. Are you doing the Coro loop in December?

Well spotted, sir. It's the air filter lid off my '74 3.0S, which you'd know as a Bav. It's getting a 3.0Si engine shortly.

Cool2 1991 r80

1991 R80 I picked up in Italy a few years ago for a song. Less than 9,000 km on the clock, Tank rusted out from sitting forever.

I did a mild restore and had a buddy who welds stainless boat railings make me some mounts for a couple of Ammo Crates. Threw on some gaiters and a billet triple clamp. Result: The $1000 touring machine

Sold it to a friend for 1500bux, it's in CA now, but He's got a new harley, He's giving it back to me ... the catch I gotta ride it back cross country from CA to VA .... hell, I know what a terrible price to pay The wife thinks I'm nuts.

BMW Windshield Modification-It works now

I bought a BMW shield off of E-Bay last Spring for my R90. I've had one in the past, thought it was too stodgy, and sold it. Well, now it appears that I'm getting to the point where stodgy isn't such a bad thing, so on it went:

It provided pretty decent coverage in cooler weather, but the buffeting was a thing to behold. I felt like I went a few rounds with Mike Tyson if I rode it for more than an hour or so. I was also waaaay too warm behind it in temps above 80 degrees.

Well, some masking tape, a Sharpie, a Dremel with a mini circular saw blade in it, and about 45 minutes of time produced this:

The buffeting is all but gone, I retained a nice, still pocket of air in front of my chest, and IMHO it looks 100% better than before.

Not bad for $45 and a bit-o'-time.

Very clean install

This is pretty much what I want to install on my hacked R100RT. Hope it turns out looking as good as yours.
