I am going to try to keep it as original as possible (without breaking the bank). I'm about to put a new cover on the seat that won't have the original pattern in it but I'm OK with that.

It's really in good shape. The previous owner was very proud of it and its originality. He was a good friend of mine so I will respect the bike out of respect for him. (And because I like it the way it is!)

I have to keep the bike in a small shed until we get our garage built. The bags and engine barely fit through the door. The mirrors, on the other hand, have to be pulled in a bit to get through. Someone said I had them set so I could see how happy I am when I'm riding.

Steve

Well done!

PS - Please tell me you're not going to 'cafe' it.

Cheers!

I'll look at doing a write up in the future, i'm not normally the type to bother with a write up, but for this one i'm happy to share it.
Never had a bike i really loved and wanted to keep till i bought the red r65, now i'm hooked!!
I've a 3rd engine in the shed i've started 'tuning', i think i'll down the r100 piston route.

Im told that this was a special colour painted for BMW UK, though the paint itself has been redone.
