Look on the bright side, give it a year or two, and it'll no doubt be parted out as a low mileage airhead engine and gearbox, etc ...

Beautiful results, both the Vintage (R50-Slash 2 and R27's) and the 60/7. Please post more pictures!!

Where are you, and where are you finding the "raw material" for the bikes to be revived???

Thanks for your compliments!
I'm from Chile. south america.
I usually buy on two sites, (both from US):
http://www.2wheelpros.com/oem-parts/bmw-parts.html
http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/fiche/PartsFiche.aspx
for the bolt kits and other things, ebay.
Being from out of the States gives you an extra job, which is to put a LOT of hours researching and studying what to buy. There's no room for mistakes due of the high price and times of shipping.
Next Project:
BMW R51/3 w/steib tr500 sidecar

Great looking bikes. But what about the double set of pannier racks on the R60/7?

They are great lookers. I saw the racks too and wondered if the inner ones stayed to prevent an alternate soft bag system from hitting the wheel? I've recently thought about putting the later racks and bags on my TS too.

The outside ones are for a set of saddle bags, they aren't of the bike years but they look and work fine.
the inners ones are part of the rear luggage mount.

They filmed a movie locally (Gone Girl) and created this bar which is owned by Ben Affleck's character in the film. I figured that it may become a landmark of some sort if the film does well...well, that and I was just out goofing around on a Sunday Morning. The bike is my 1977 R-75/7. It runs incredibly well, but needs the front forks reworked and some cosmetic TLC.

Please post some info about your builds. And don't forget the pics. The Airheads are open to the pre-Airhead vintage crowd. There are a lot of members here with good info on all the early bikes.
