Just snagged a really nice 60/5. Looking forward to learning how to ride the little beast.

Mag-knight Tank Protector: INFERIOR PRODUCT!

Any hints on where I can buy some GOOD tank protector material for my NEWLY PAINTED HEINRICH TANK???
.................................................. ............................................

Just wanted to display, verbally, my TOTAL DISPLEASURE with a tank protector I purchsed from Mag-Knight in Snohomish, Washington off their internet sight...Junk, PURE JUNK and expensive too!

Suppose to be magnetic...well that's a joke but worst of all, the material must have laid pebbles, sharp stones or something because it had 30 dimples from the magnetic side in a 9" X 12" sheet of this JUNK!!!!!!!

Avoid, Beware....any other horror stories with this product?

Any hints where I can find some GOOD tank protector material????

Beeemerdude the noob :)

Just finished de-mothballing this! Started it last night having done teardown, new rings, and recut valve seats. Soon to be on the road ridden by my significant other, who was seen grinning from ear to ear this morning.

Looks nice....I found one a few years ago that had sat for close to 20 years. Just had to rebuild the carbs and a few other odds and ends and it ran great. Never had any problems with old dried up seals leaking and it didn't use a drop of oil. You just need to get yourself a new set of roundels for the tank now. My tank badges looked the same way when I got it.
