The more I learn about airheads, the more that one seems to be THE one.... congrats, looks like a beauty!

Somehow, at first glance I thought it was the ST, didn't realize that the GS and the ST had the same exhaust path!

THE one for me would be a monolever R80 G/S but I never found the right bike.

My 75/5 after recent fettling

Unrestored... but I'm gonna have to get a new seat - probably go solo.

She's a sweet ride... rumbling grunt!

1987 R65....still coming to grips with it and wondering if it will suit my needs.I'm getting rid of my dual purpose bikes, and want to build an ''all roads'' bike....back roads and gravel. With higher wider bars and some dual purpose tyres it should do what I want.It will be a sort of streettracker.I like the 650 motor, the short stroke is happy to rev and has ample power for my use.

Talking BMW R100 LT - 13,000kms! 1994 Model

This is the day I brought home my 1994 BMW R100LT (yes LT - badged and number stamped) with 13,000 kms only! Complete with BMW radio/ cassette/ heated grips/ comfort seat... now has 21,000 kms after 18 months occasional use. Condition is mint! I am very aware that there is a denial that the R100LT exists, but they certainly do in Oz, even have a friend with one and they regularly appear for sale on Ebay.

Thumb Thanks!

Tyll - thanks for the kind words - I note that we share interests ie: flyfishing (why else apart from some brilliant roads would you live in Tasmania?) and trials bikes----in the past I've owned a Montesa Cota 123/ Cota 247 & 348 even a Honda Bials 125 (yes Bials) 4 stroke. The Cotas didn't get much front tyre wear as I lived with the front wheel most of the time in the air...the 348 I've always regretted selling as it was a master piece!!!

People do comment on the colour of the LT --- perhaps it is a bit pretty! Maybe this explains why I dress in head to toe black leather and black BMW System helmet.

Tight lines SteveT.
