after a nasty divorce in which my '76 XT500C "disappeared" followed by surgery ....
bad year or 2 my oldest friend showed up at my cabin with his Aprilia Futura and this on a trailer. he's had it since 1974 still has it

![]() Actually, it's got a fair amount of rust (seat pan and cowl) dents and scratches and general fuzz growing on the aluminum. It used to be Greg McQuide's bike, whom I was in the YBs with. I managed to finally buy it from Mitch Boehm at Motorcyclist a few weeks ago. When Greg owned it back east, it sat outside and after Mitch bought it when Greg died, it sat in the Motorcyclist garage for 5 years. It's had a tough life recently, so I'm going to make it into a nice Sunday rider. In the winter, it'll live in the atrium of our house so I can look at it while I'm having meals.
