Thanks Bruce. The Norvil is great fun, but the ergos are a bit stiff for my aging back; this was near the end of a 500mi weekend, and the spasms were intense.

I like the NA 951 as well, though it's a source of great controversy among the traditionalists.

Thanks GT! I keep the fairing in my garage most days, cause with it installed, I get about 8-10 degrees lock-to-lock, a major pain for anything but high speeds and wide open spaces.

Mine started life as a Yamaha RD350, 1982. Not available in the US, it was the LC model, which was liquid cooled but without the power valve on the exhaust of the later RZ models. In the rest of the world, the RZ's were still called the RD's.

I had an RD when I lived in Canada too. Sold it when I moved to the States because my friends told me it wasn't worth taking....

Shes only 22 years old but i have owned her for 15 years & its still in the shed. EFE cams & a few other bits in the donk, 99 hp at the tyre.

You know it still makes the hair on my neck stand up when your in 3rd & you pop it back to 2nd & open her up to 7000. I once went on a trip with a mate, he was on an 11 kwaka & was an exceptionally fast rider. We rode through the Gibralta ranges for about an 60 miles never getting below 100 mph & often touched 130 mph... I followed him & lost sight of him very quickly & i ran out of fuel about 5 miles out of the next town...she is thirsty at that clip. We used his battery overflow tube to syphon his fuel into a drink can on the roadside.

But i still remember holding that throttle open for ages thinking i was on a missile.
