How about a pic of your XS sidecar as well Barbara. I think I remember it from over on the XS650 forums but its old enough to be in Olds Cool.

Great looking Norton. Thats one of the bikes I want in my garage someday

And here is how it looked last week after a complete restoration this winter. I used it in Trials events in 2008, moved to a modern Sherco for 2009 and 2010, and will be back to vintage this year.

Here's my 1979 Suzuki TS 250 finding a good use for the remaining snow patches today - a perfect kickstand.

Welcome , Barbara,

I googled Simplex and there's lots of info.
There is a drum on the rear wheel and it is actutated by a rod and pedal on the right side.

Been working on this bike most of the winter. It is now mechanically sound and really fun to ride.

Nice , XS's are getting hard to find now since the bobber craze. Why did I sell mine?

My first ride

I was digging through some pictures today and came upon this taken about 1964. Yes the forks were red when I bought it and no I don't want to talk about it! Note the rattail comb. My goodness. That means I did have hair once.
