Hey Rat,

Nice bike but I think the idea of these threads is that you post pics of bikes you actually own or used to own. Know what I mean?

Can you imagine how it'd look if EVERYone here posted pics they'd simply gleaned from the net? The place'd be swamped.

Neat old car, btw. My dad had a '65 Custom 4-door. His first North American car after we moved to Canada. My mom wouldn't drive it because she didn't know how to drive an automatic. I'm not making that up. She preferred the Austin 1800.

fwiw,
Lornce

I am glad You like the bikes I posted
May be I should have opened my thread with dream bikes..
..old school and why not new school specials too
but I didn't see anywhere written that is not ok to post pics of bikes in general
I had a few classic bikes the pics of them are in a drawer far away
(hopefully one day Ill get a chance to post them)
Modestly my taste for bikes goes beyond the common taste
and so even if the bikes I post are not mine I think it is cool to
inform people of their existence
..so to say let people get insiped by nice things is good
for everyone isn't it?
Cheers

Don't listen to Lornce, Rat, he's Canadian, from Southern Ontario, no less, and our weather likely has left him a bit cranky.

Keep 'em comin'!

OMG dude, that is awesome... I love it!!!

When I was a kid I did the same kinda design on the tank of a Kawasaki 100 I had (yes 100, not 1k). Mine was in green.

Check out my thread on asking for advice on the purchase of a BMW, there is a bike just like that one sitting in a garage that got damaged this weekend.... looks like the bike will be going into the Hudson river along with the garage.,... what a shame.

Nice looking bike!!!

Oh yes. And if you don't watch them, hookers and gambling are not far behind .

Both bikes belong to my buddy here in Jacksonville. I basically built the purple bike for him and the original brown bike came from a private collection here in town. We're bigtime into old 2 strokes. I've got and H1 and an RD400 somewhere on page 30-something I think. And I'm building a wicked little S2 350 at the moment.

Thanks for understanding. It went up to 5c today and I managed to get out on the GS/PD for about an hour. So "I'm better now". I gotta figure out how to move my butt to southern B.C. or Vancouver Island where it's rideable most months of the year.

Anyhow, I'm gonna have a scanner soon and you guys are gonna be swamped with slides of my old bikes.

Moto-Guzzi, Ducati, Triumph, BMW, Can-Am, Yam, Honda, Suzuki, Buell.

Look out!

I saw this '72 Eldorado at a Toronto bike show back in January. I had one eXACTtly like it when I was a kid. Soon as I get that scanner I'll post some pics. You've been warned!

Yeah, but you'd have to develop a smug attitude and a superiority complex and drive a hybrid, (Toyota PIOUS), and protest everything. It'd be exhausting and you wouldn't have time to ride. I don't recommend it.

No, I say keep enjoying the friendly people in the Hammer, dress warm and remember, you're only a few hours from the best riding roads in Ontario - Pennsylvania!
