Sounds good, the bike's ready and my schedule is wide open. Let's ride and slide.

Laugh Oh there's gonna be some snow in the high spots all right

I keep hoping for some kind of weather miracle right after Christmas, but if there isn't, I'm putting on all the layers of winter riding gear I've got and I'm going anyway.

What a year .

Rick,
It's snowing steady here in the mountains.
It began about 5am.
I measured 2 inches of snow on the ground at 11am morning,
and the "heavy" snow is supposed to start this afternoon
according to the weather channel.
You might want to start thinking about stopping in Greeneville tomorrow
because I can imagine what your "driveway" ( ) will look like by Saturday night.

I hope Rick packed a sled and snow boots! For a while, it rained on top of the snow to make a real nice ice sheet - now it's snowing again (big time)! He'll have perfect sledding conditions by tonight: park on the bottom, hike and sled down

Yep, I left this morning just before 9AM . . . already had a couple of inches at my place. And it was coming down pretty good.

Glad I had already planned to leave today. Cuz if I hadn't gotten out of there this morning, I think I'd be snowed in 'til Tuesday!! And I definitely didn't have enough food for that.

The road crews weren't staying ahead of things as I headed south. I-26 had some decent slushy accumulations. Plow trucks were getting to work, but . . . I think it moved in faster than they thought it would.

My son in Asheville just left his car at a gas station and walked the rest of the way home. He had been stuck but got pushed out . And this was on level ground 99 Camry , his tires aren't that great , cause I had to pay for'em
