I have GOT to get back on the dirt... Don't have much time to ride though, but please keep posting here! Would love to tag along someday. If anyone is doing street as well I'd love to tag along there too.

What kind of riding do you like?

I won't be able to go out this weekend (heading out of state for a job) and I might not make it back for the next one, but after that I'll be itchin for a good day ride, and I need to do a good shakedown ride for my homemade soft paniers before a trip I'll be taking in June. I'll post an invite here when I have the time to ride, and have an idea of a route.
Let me know. While I have the Scorpions, I'd like to stick with easy dirt roads and pavement. If I see mud, I'm turning around.

Maybe I should get some knobbies?

Hi All

Floorpoor and Vector Leto:
You two would have similar riding preferences.
Wish I was there to go ride with you.
Yes Floorpoor let me know when you are down here -but you might have to bring the beer not much of a selection kinda like the riding .

Yeah, I wish you were still here too.

Here's a video I took yesterday on Sellar's Creek Rd. I had to cut it short though because the road was getting muddy and I didn't want to deal with it. If I had knobbies, and buddy to help me pick up my bike when I went down, I may have tried it.

SE Idaho - Afton Flagg Road

Hey guys.

Does anyone have a guess if the Afton - Flagg ranch road will be open by the first week of June this year?

I tried two years ago and got stopped by snow.

Any opinions are appreciated.

It was almost 90 here today, so I think you will have a great ride, especially that meadow before the Grassy lake will be full of those cool wildflowers.

Well it was almost 90 hear on the CA coast and last time I was on A F road the wildflowers were in full bloom, but I'm thinking it was mid June 2010

Well thats my lame opinion. I hope you have fun and give us some first hand intel.

Almost never
One of my friends who doesn't ride goes to the start of the road on Memorial Day weekend to camp. Often he can't even get to the start

There was only 7-8 feet of snow this year compared to the normal 15-20.Should melt out quicker than normal.

Has anyone here run the Magruder Corridor in mid june? Just wondering what the snow situation might be like there, it's part of a route I'm planning from June 14th to the 23rd. I'm guessing it should be alright, but I've never run that particular road.

Could be too early. These guys didn't make it last year at that time.

I made it and it had just opened mid-July in 2012.

Hello thread

Hello thread; New to adventure riding here. But WOW! What a fantastic day today! Need to get outdoors - go for a ride!
Maybe head up past Kelly Canyon and go exploring - see what the conditions are like. Wish there was more activity here on this thread for the adventure rider! The Harley guys are out on the hardball in force today!
.........well, just thought I'd post a hello since I'm new here. Time to head out and explore on such a fantastic day!
EVERYONE, post what you did today on such a fine Mother's Day today! Did you take flowers to Mom?, take the wife for a ride?, abandon social mores and go for a solo adventure ride or sit inside and eat pastries?
......... sorry Mom (actually mom is not with us anymore! Otherwise I might be more domestic today ) .... I'm going for a ride!
Out for now,

Yeah, that's what I did. I visited mom on the way home though.

Heading up toward Kelly's sounds fun, although there's quite a bit of traffic up there... you'll have to hug the side of the rode to avoid camp trailers.

While I have the scorps, I wouldn't mind an all pavement ride.
