Might be up for some of that. Sounds like a lot of the area I did on my trip last summer. I could spend a week on Beartooth, just going back and forth over and over. LOVED it. Going to the Sun is fun, but it's slow... Very scenic but after a couple of times you want to have a little more fun.

Been in Arizona workin' like a dog. Came home for a week to see the family, but had to fly, so my poor old bike is still sitting in the garage in Idaho

Oh well, I haven't had any time to ride anyway, even though the weather is PERFECT down there. The next time I come north, I'm bringing my pickup home so I can take my KLR down south!

Letting locals know that I'm selling my bike. PM me if interested. Totally willing to negotiate price, especially for an easy local sale.

Just curios what direction you are going? That is one sweet 990, but far out of my price range.

Question Summer ride

I am looking to get my oldest (12 YO) son into some touring, we've rode the Yellowstone loop through west over to Jackson and home for a test run (340 miles)... long day for him but he enjoyed the experience.
I am wanting to take a ride over a few days over to the Alvord desert in eastern Oregon. I figure it would be a good ride and some great scenery. Is anyone in eastern Idaho game for a three day jaunt sometime June-ish?

Shoot me a PM if so.

The 1200GS is like the Goldwing of adventure bikes, definitely more comfy for BIG mile days than the 990. A friend of mine had an 1150 GS and it was SWEET!
